Lake Louise and Lake Moraine






 September 10th, 2024

We had a beautiful day today. We started from the train station at Banff. We had booked a transit for Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. We left at 10:00 arriving at Lake Louise for 2.5 hours then on to Moraine. 

At Lake Louise, we hiked the lakeshore walk. I say hike but it really was a "promanade" along the lake. 

We then had lunch at Louisa cafe at the Fairmont Hotel. We had a lovely lunch! Salmon kabobs and an arugula salad. 

The water was absolutely gorgeous as were the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Here are some pictures:

From there, we headed to Lake Moraine. It was also incredibly beautiful. There we did the same thing. We walked along the waterway and also captured beautiful shots. Here are some pictures:

 We headed to Victoria, taking the BC Ferries to spend the day at  https://www.butchartgardens.com/ We also had a fabulous meal at Finn's down on Wharf street. We headed back to Victoria early the next morning.
